1. Motherboard:
This is the central board in which all other parts in the computer get connected, this is like a bridge between all the components in the computer. This Picture for the Motherboard differs between laptops and Desktops. There will be multiple ports & connectors in the computer and those are mostly integrated with the Motherboard.
2. Hard drive:
This is the part in which everything that you have in the computer is stored. This is the main storage device. Your pictures, music, files and videos are stored in this part. Your windows, Linux, Mac operating systems are installed in the Hard drive, that's why when the hard drive crashes, you lose all your files.
3. CPU:
This is the CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT or Processor. A small chip which is the brain of your computer. This is the part which manages all the processes that you do in the computer. Even a click in the computer is managed by this part.
4. Heat sink and FAN:
This is the part which exhales heat coming out your computer.. Your heat sink and fan is placed in such a way that it absorbs the heat and exhales the heat from the processor. This keeps your computer healthy.
5. Memory:
Memory is a chip in your computer which is responsible for the speed and performance of the computer, this act as a bridge between your Hard drive and Processor. When you try to open a files in your computer, that command will be sent through your memory from the processor to your Hard drive, from the hard drive the data is retrieved and sent back to the processor and to your screen for the Display. Now i think you can imagine how the memory card works.
6. DVD drive:
DVD drive is the part in which you can put cds, DVDs, bluray disc to view pictures, movies documents and install programs into the computer. This is called as the secondary storage device in the computer. You can store files in the cds which you can use it as external storage.
7. Monitor:
This is the part in which can show ever thing whatever you do in the computer. That's why this part is called as Output device. Because you get the Video output from the computer only in your monitor.
8. Video card:
This is part which is responsible for giving the right video from the computer to the Monitor. The main purpose of this part is to give you a better quality of pictures. Either you can have built in video card in the motherboard or else you can have external Video card which you can connect to one of the slot in your motherboard.
9. Sound card:
This is the part which gives you the sound output from the computer, Even this part is called as Output device. Either you can have built in sound card in the motherboard or else you can have external Sound card which you can connect to one of the slot in your motherboard. This enhances the sound effects in your computer.
10. Power supply:
This is the part which is inside in your computer which manages the amount of power that comes in into the computer and this part manages the power supply to the other parts of the computer.
11. Keyboard:
I think everyone will be aware of a keyboard .This is the part which can give inputs to the computer as words and shortcuts..This part is also called as Input device. There are different types of keyboard in Markets, let's know about in the upcoming pages.
12. Mouse:
Without a mouse no one will dare to touch the computer because that is the part which gives us all comfort to use everything in the computer.
13. Speakers:
As you know this is the part which gives you the sound output from the computer, the quality of the sound depends on the speakers too .This part helps you to enjoy your music from the computer with best quality..
